FinTrack Terms of Service
Version 1.0 · Last updated 11 October 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Revopay Private Limited, a company incorporated in Zimbabwe ("Revopay", "we", "us"). They cover your use of the FinTrack mobile app, fintrack.revopaytech.com and related services (the "Service").
By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms and confirm that you have read our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use FinTrack.
Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under the consumer protection laws of the country where you live that cannot be excluded by agreement. Where these terms conflict with those rights, those rights win.
1. Who can use FinTrack
You must be at least 18 years old, and able to enter into a binding contract where you live. If you use FinTrack on behalf of a business, a group or another organisation, you confirm that you have the authority to accept these terms for it, and "you" includes that organisation.
2. What FinTrack is, and what it is not
FinTrack is a record-keeping and budgeting tool. It helps you write down, organise and understand money you manage elsewhere, on your own or with others.
FinTrack does not hold, move, send, receive, lend or invest money, and neither does Revopay through it. In particular:
- Revopay is not a bank or deposit-taker, a payment or money-transfer service, a lender or money-lender, a credit provider, a broker, or an investment, tax, legal or accounting adviser.
- FinTrack does not connect to your bank or mobile money accounts. Every balance it shows is worked out from what you and the people you share with have recorded. It may not match your real accounts.
- Exchange rates come from third-party sources (the Frankfurter service, and for ZiG, the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe). They are for information only and may be delayed or wrong. Don't rely on them for transactions.
- Reports, budgets, summaries and calculations, including loan interest and share-out amounts, are arithmetic on the information entered. They are not advice. You are responsible for your own financial decisions, and for checking anything important.
3. Your account
- Give us accurate information, and keep it up to date.
- Keep your password and your phone secure. FinTrack locks by default; please leave the lock on. You are responsible for what happens under your account, unless it happened because of our failure.
- If you think someone else has used your account, tell us straight away at support@revopaytech.com.
- One person, one account. Do not share your account or create one for someone else without their permission.
4. Shared workspaces
You can share a workspace (for example a household) with other people. When you do:
- Roles. The owner and the admins decide who joins and what each person may do. Nobody is added without accepting an invitation.
- Visibility. Everything recorded in a shared workspace can be seen by its members, according to their role, including who added each record.
- Leaving. When someone leaves, the records they added stay in the workspace, because the others rely on them.
- Ownership. An owner who wants to leave, or to delete their account, must first hand ownership to another member.
- Plans. The owner's plan decides the workspace's limits (section 7).
5. Savings groups
FinTrack can keep the records of a savings group, such as a mukando, a stokvel, a chama or a rotating savings club. These groups are arrangements between their members, so:
- The group is responsible for itself. Its members decide its rules: contributions, payout order, loans, interest, late charges and share-outs. They also hold and move the group's money themselves, outside FinTrack. Revopay is not a member, organiser, trustee, custodian or guarantor of any group. It is not a party to any agreement between members.
- The treasurer keeps the records. In FinTrack, a group's owner or admins (the treasurers) record contributions, payouts, loans and repayments. Members can see the records but can't change them. This is deliberate: it stops anyone marking themselves as paid. A treasurer must record only what actually happened, and must correct a mistake openly using FinTrack's correction feature, which shows the change to every member.
- Every member can see the records. Each member can see every member's contributions, loans and statement, and the group's change log. By joining a group, you agree to your records being visible to the other members in this way.
- No guarantees. Revopay does not check that a payment was really made. It does not guarantee that any member will contribute or repay, and it does not enforce any obligation between members. A loan, contribution or payout recorded in FinTrack is evidence of what the group recorded. It is not a promise by Revopay.
- Follow the law. Some countries regulate savings groups, lending between people, or the interest that may be charged. The group is responsible for making sure its rules, interest rates and practices are lawful where its members are.
- Votes record decisions; they don't create them. FinTrack's votes record what members decided. Whether a vote binds the members is a matter for the group's own rules and the law.
6. Your content
"Your content" is everything you put into FinTrack: records, notes, names, photos and the like.
- You own your content. You give Revopay a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, store, copy, process and display it, only so far as needed to run the Service for you and the people you share it with, and to keep the Service secure. This licence ends when your content is deleted, except for copies in backups until they are replaced (see our Privacy Policy), and except for content you shared, which stays available to the workspace you shared it with.
- You are responsible for your content. You confirm that you are entitled to add it. This includes other people's details, such as an invitee's email or a member's name. You confirm too that it is not unlawful, and that it does not infringe anyone's rights.
- We may remove content that we reasonably believe breaks these terms or the law. Where appropriate, we will tell you why.
7. Plans, subscriptions and payment
- Plans. FinTrack has free and paid plans. Each plan's features and limits are shown in the app, and may vary by product line (Individual, Family, Group and Business). A paid plan belongs to the person who buys it. It applies to the workspaces of that product line that they own.
- Buying a plan. Paid plans are bought through the Apple App Store or Google Play. The store charges you, and its terms govern payment, renewal, cancellation and refunds. Prices are shown in the store before you buy, and include or add taxes as the store shows.
- Automatic renewal. A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless you turn off auto-renew in your store account settings. With Apple, you must do this at least 24 hours before the period ends. Deleting the app or your FinTrack account does not cancel a store subscription; cancel it in the store.
- Free trials. Where a trial is offered, it converts to a paid subscription at its end unless you cancel before then, as the store explains when you start it.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies, and the law where you live.
- Price changes. We will give you advance notice of a price change, in line with the store's rules. If you don't agree, you can cancel before it applies.
- When a paid plan ends, you keep access to your paid features for a grace period of 14 days. After that, a workspace that is over the free plan's limits becomes read-only: you can see everything, but you can't add more until you resubscribe or bring it within the free limits. We never delete your records, or remove anyone, because a subscription ended.
- Features. We list only features that exist. A feature described as planned or "coming soon" is not part of what you are paying for until it is released.
8. Using FinTrack properly
You must not:
- use the Service for anything unlawful, including fraud, money laundering, financing terrorism, or running an unlawful lending, pyramid or Ponzi scheme;
- record false information to mislead other members of a workspace or group;
- access, or try to access, workspaces or information that aren't yours, or get around any limit or security measure;
- copy, scrape, reverse engineer, decompile or interfere with the Service, except where the law expressly allows it despite this restriction;
- upload malware, overload our systems, or use bots or automated means to access the Service, other than through features we provide;
- harass, threaten or abuse other members, or use invitations to send unwanted messages;
- resell, rent or sublicense the Service, or use it to build a competing product.
9. Receipt scanning and other automated features
When you scan a receipt, an AI model provided by Anthropic reads it and suggests details. These suggestions can be wrong, especially on faded or handwritten receipts. Always check them before saving. You are responsible for what you save. Our Privacy Policy explains how receipt photos are handled.
10. Our rights in FinTrack
The Service belongs to Revopay and its licensors, and is protected by intellectual property laws. This includes the app, its design, its software, the FinTrack name and its logos. We give you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive, revocable licence to use the app for its intended purpose while these terms apply. If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them without owing you anything.
11. Changes to the Service and availability
We work to keep FinTrack running and your records safe, but we do not promise that the Service will always be available, uninterrupted or free of errors.
- FinTrack works offline and syncs when you reconnect. Changes made offline are stored only on your phone until they sync. If you uninstall the app or lose your phone before that, they may be lost.
- We may change, add or remove features. If we remove a significant paid feature during a period you have paid for, we will offer a fair remedy where the law requires one.
- We may suspend the Service for maintenance, security or reasons beyond our control. Where we can, we will tell you in advance.
12. Ending this agreement
- You can stop using FinTrack and delete your account at any time from inside the app (More › Delete account). Remember to cancel any store subscription separately.
- We may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, if the law requires it, or if continuing would expose us or others to harm or legal risk. Unless the law or the urgency of the situation prevents it, we will tell you first, give you the reason, and give you a chance to respond or to export your information.
- If your account is closed, our Privacy Policy explains what happens to your information. Sections 5 (points 1 and 4), 6, 10 and 13 to 16 continue to apply after this agreement ends.
13. Disclaimers
To the extent the law allows, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We make no warranties, express or implied, beyond those stated in these terms, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. We do not warrant that any calculation, exchange rate, receipt reading or record is accurate or complete. Some laws don't allow certain warranties to be excluded. Where yours doesn't, these exclusions apply only as far as it allows.
14. Limits on our liability
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.
Subject to that, and to the extent the law allows:
- Revopay is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss. Nor is it liable for loss of profits, revenue, savings, goodwill or data that you could have kept by keeping your own copies.
- Revopay is not liable for loss arising from:
- arrangements between members of a workspace or savings group, including any member's failure to contribute or repay;
- money you or others moved outside FinTrack;
- decisions you made based on information in the Service;
- anything outside our reasonable control.
- Our total liability to you for all claims relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amounts you paid for the Service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, and (b) USD 100.
15. Responsibility for your conduct
To the extent the law allows, you agree to compensate Revopay for reasonable losses and costs it suffers because of a claim by someone else arising from your breach of these terms, your content, or your conduct towards other members, including as a treasurer. This does not apply to the extent the loss was caused by our own fault. If you use FinTrack as a consumer, this applies only so far as your consumer law allows.
16. Law and disputes
- Talk to us first. If you have a complaint, please write to legal@revopaytech.com. We will try to resolve it within 30 days.
- Governing law. These terms, and any dispute about them or the Service, are governed by the laws of Zimbabwe.
- Courts. The courts of Zimbabwe have jurisdiction. If you live outside Zimbabwe and use FinTrack as a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim in its courts where that law gives you the right.
17. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example to reflect new features or legal requirements. The version number and date at the top show when they last changed.
- For a significant change, we will tell you in the app or by email at least 30 days before it takes effect. The only exception is a change needed sooner for legal or security reasons.
- If you keep using FinTrack after a change takes effect, the updated terms apply. If you don't agree with them, you can delete your account before then.
- For a paid subscription, a change that affects what you pay for applies from your next renewal.
18. General
- Entire agreement. These terms and our Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and Revopay about the Service. The terms of Apple or Google also apply to your purchases through their stores.
- Severability. If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest still applies, and that part is applied as far as the law allows.
- No waiver. If we don't enforce a right straight away, we haven't given it up.
- Transfer. We may transfer this agreement to a company that takes over FinTrack, provided your rights under it are not reduced. You may not transfer it without our consent.
- Events beyond our control. We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control. These include power or network outages, failures of third-party providers, natural disasters, and acts of government.
- Notices. We will send notices to the email address on your account, or show them in the app. Send legal notices to us at legal@revopaytech.com, with a copy to admin@revopaytech.com.
- Language. These terms are written in English. If we provide a translation, the English version prevails, to the extent the law allows.
- Electronic agreement. You accept these terms electronically, and that acceptance is as binding as a signature.
19. Apple App Store
If you downloaded FinTrack from the Apple App Store, the following also applies:
- These terms are between you and Revopay, not Apple. Revopay, not Apple, is responsible for the app and its content.
- Your licence to use the app is limited to Apple-branded devices that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store's Usage Rules.
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app.
- If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the app's purchase price, if any. To the extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app.
- Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or anyone else relating to the app or your use of it. This includes product liability claims, claims that the app fails to meet a legal or regulatory requirement, and claims under consumer protection, privacy or similar laws.
- If anyone claims that the app infringes their intellectual property rights, Revopay, not Apple, is responsible for dealing with that claim.
- You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a US government embargo, or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not on any US government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms. Once you accept them, Apple has the right to enforce them against you.
